The cover of this book did not do a good job describing what this book was all about. I initially thought
The Chosen One was a scary story.
The Chosen One is about a religious group practicing Polygamy. The main character learns that she is to wed her 60 year old Uncle and she has no choice about the decision. After her Father, and the boy she loves pleads for the Prophet to change his mind disaster strikes her life. I found the story very interesting and educational about the lifestyle of polygamist colonies.
